We long for the completion of our function

There’s always an element of chance and accident in my work, and in this case it was stumbling upon images of model planes made from cheap materials while poking around the internet. Grounded, lacking the means of self-propulsion, they need a person to make them fly. Art is like that too: as a means of address it requires a viewer to complete its function.
